Free guide tour is organized every year on Sunday June 25th. The trail connects the mountain pass of Vršič with Kranjska Gora. You will see a place that is often known as the most beautiful picture on wall calendars, where the mountain of Jalovec is reflected in the mountainous lakes. You will walk through a primeval forest, passing by a more than thousand years old larch into a mysterious valley of Mala Pišnica, where you can refresh yourself with crystal clear water. After rising on a daring hunting trail full of surprises you reach Ciprnik, an excellent place with a view. Before a steep descent to Kranjska Gora you walk along the green carpet of mountain meadows to the mountain hut Mojčin dom on Vitranc, where you can have something to eat and enjoy the beautiful views of the rocky scenery of the Martuljek mountain range. The trail is partially unmarked and suitable for moderately fit hikers. Due to difficult orientation and poorly maintained trails we recommend you to be accompanied by a mountain guide. Some short sections are secured with a steel cable, but the technical equipment is not required. It is best to use the trail in the dry days from May to the end of October.
During the summer a bus on the line Kranjska Gora – Bovec drives over the pass of Vršič.
